Here you can enjoy a stay in a beautifully designed villa with a large private garden offering panoramic views over the vineyards—among them those of your host and winemaker Matteo Piccinini, who will gladly offer you three of his wines free of charge throughout your entire stay at Villa Montebello.

We have decorated the villa in a metropolitan chic style while preserving its original character, allowing you to immerse yourself in a world of hotel-style luxury. The villa features fireplaces in both the living room and the kitchen.

Our villa has traditionally been inhabited by doctors from Milan who used it as their countryside retreat in the hills of Oltrepò Pavese, coming here to enjoy the views and unwind. It’s no coincidence this region is often referred to as “the Tuscany of the North.”

The villa is located 1,098 km from Utrecht and 45 km south of Milan, with multiple daily flights operated by various airlines. Within an hour’s drive, you can explore historic Italian cities, the Italian Riviera (known as the Riviera dei Fiori), and ski resorts.

Around Mornico, there are beautiful hiking and cycling routes that connect charming Italian villages and castles throughout the Oltrepò Pavese.
Our favorite spot in the house is without a doubt the tower room with the bar table, where you can enjoy views in three directions through large French windows.

You enter the villa through our newly renovated modern kitchen, from which you can access the hallway, bathroom, two bedrooms, and the staircase leading upstairs. On the upper floor, you’ll come face-to-face with the Princess of Sheba—she reigns over our living and tower room. The other bathroom and two additional bedrooms (one of which includes a bunk bed) are also on this level.

In the garden, you’ll find a generous 3-meter dining table, several sun loungers, and a small seating area beneath the pergola attached to the tower room.
